Pour changer un peu, voici le montage du seehund de chez bronco. La maquette est très agréable à monter, sans difficultés particulières. La seule chose à laquelle il faudra faire attention est la jonction entre les deux parties. Sur de longues grandeurs, il est toujours difficile d'avoir un joint où l'on ait le moins de masticage à faire, pour cela une méthode bien connue est de mettre de la colle sur les deux surfaces, d'attendre quelques minutes afin que cette colle ramollisse le plastique, de presser ensuite les deux moitiés fortement l'une contre l'autre ce qui va faire sortir un petit excédent de plastique, on laisse ensuite bien sécher puis on coupe l'excédent au scalpel et là on a un joint avec très peu de retouches à faire.
Pour ce modèle, on a ce souci avec le sous-marin lui-même mais aussi avec les torpilles pour lesquelles la jointure n'est pas aussi parfaite.
Il semblerait qu'il y ait eu plusieurs types de seehund avec des différences mineures, c'est pourquoi j'ai choisi de boucher la partie avant au niveau du périscope et de rajouter des poignées sur les cotés de la trappe d'accès.
Le pilote est une figurine dragon de la boite panzer crew LAH division 1943 réf 6214 qui a été modifiée au niveau de la combinaison, le gilet de sauvetage est créé en scratch à partir de putty d'après une illustration osprey. La peinture se fait aux huiles pour le visage et aux acryliques pour l'uniforme.








In an idea to build something different, here is the Bronco's Seehund. The model is very pleasant to assemble without any difficulties. The only thing that will require attention is the junction between the two halves of the u-boot. With long sizes, it is always difficult to have a proper joint with minimum sanding. A well-known method is to glue on both surfaces, wait a few minutes so that this glue softens the plastic, then press the two halves strongly against each other, it will bring out a small amount of plastic then allowed to dry. You only have to cut the excess with a scalpel and there is a joint with very few corrections to make.
For this model, we have this problem with the submarine itself but also with torpedoes for which the joint is not as perfect.
Apparently there were several types of Seehund with minor differences, so I decided to plug in the front of the periscope and add handles on the sides of the access door.
The submariner is a dragon figurine of the box panzer crew LAH division Ref 1943 6214. The combination, was modified and the life vest was created from scratch putty from an osprey illustration . The painting is done in oils for the face and acrylic for the uniform.
